Welcome to Teachers for the Nations II Timothy 2:2 By God's grace, we want to bless the nations of the earth. We emphasize the value of strong Christian character and want to lead the present generation into an understanding of the nature and character of God, along with biblical principles of education and government. The goal of this program is to disciple nations through education. Does God want you to train a generation of world-changers?Teachers For The Nations is a program that YWAM workers designed in order to equip teachers to educate this generation with Christian principles. These principles can then be applied, changing societies for Christ. Students are trained at the Dayspring Center in Tyler, Texas and complete their training in the classrooms of Christian Heritage School. What is the "Principle Approach"?The Principle Approach method reveals how a philosophy of education determines a form of government, which therefore shows that a biblical philosophy of education will lead to a government that runs with the greatest liberty. This liberty allows the gospel to be spread freely. Using the Principle Approach method, a Christian form of reasoning that applies biblical truths to individual lives and society, a teacher trainee will be taught by the headmaster and other staff how to disciple a nation through education. University of the NationsCourse DescriptionsEDU 240Teachers for the Nations - Course ICredits: 12This first of three courses prepares the student to teach children and adults to take leadership in the spheres that shape a nation—family, church, government, education, business, arts and entertainment, and media. Students will examine biblical principles that bring freedom to nations and will learn to develop Christian curriculum to further both individual and civil liberty in any nation. History; child development; a philosophy of history, education, and government; the use of phonics to teach reading and writing to children and adults; and curriculum development are among the topics included in this course. Students earn credit toward the Teachers for the Nations Field Assignment (EDU 243) during Courses I, II, and III by working as interns in K-12 classrooms and by preparing and leading a community outreach. EDU 241Teachers for the Nations - Course IICredits: 12This second course builds on the biblical foundations of education and of national transformation taught in EDU 240. Working side-by-side with experienced teachers, students continue their internships in both elementary and secondary classrooms. EDU 242Teachers for the Nations - Course IIICredits: 12In this third course, students complete their study of Christian education and its role in bringing liberty to individuals and nations. Students continue their daily internships in elementary and secondary classrooms. They prepare lessons plans and gain valuable, hands-on experience by teaching their lessons and by learning to manage a classroom under the supervision of a veteran teacher. EDU 243Teachers for the Nations - Field AssignmentCredits: 1-12As stated above, credit for EDU 243 is earned through classroom internships. Students also receive field assignment credit by planning and leading elementary and secondary students in a community service outreach. Going to cross-cultural settings for the final field assignment, students have the opportunity to prepare and teach lessons about the principles learned in the previous courses. Often, students teach children and present education seminars to teachers, parents and pastors, as well as to civic and business leaders at schools established by Teachers for the Nations alumni. |
“Your view of history
You will study Universal History from the Providential view of History, which demonstrates God’s hand working from the beginning to bring Liberty to each individual and each nation. “The more thoroughly a nation deals with its history, the more decidedly will it recognize and own an over-ruling Providence therein…”
